This Cook position reports directly to the Culinary Manager, focusing on food preparation and delivery at our retirement residences. Ideal candidates will have a passion for preparing nutritious meals for individuals, including both guests and residents. You will emphasize creativity and excellence while adhering to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents and staff
• Review menus and production sheets before meal preparation
• Ensure proper food handling techniques and complete temperature audits




• Prepare dishes for therapeutic/specialty diets as needed
• Engage in planning for special occasion meals and theme days
Requirements:
• Food Handler's Certificate is required
• Experience in large quantity food preparation
• Knowledge of special and therapeutic dietary needs
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
