and you will obtain a Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) license as a condition of accepting this position.Technical Knowledge and ExpertiseYou know and have experience in applying the theories, principles and practices of engineering science with specialized knowledge in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering.You have knowledge and expertise in mine rehabilitation, contaminated site clean-up, waste management, acid rock drainage and metal leaching, hydrology, and tailings management, with the ability to identify sources of pollutants and develop plans for mine rehabilitation and closure projects and programs.You have knowledge of relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation (e.G., Mining Act, Environmental Protection Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Assessment Act, Environmental Bill of Rights, Occupational Health and Safety Act) to ensure compliance and provide policy recommendations.You are familiar with environmental management trends and emerging technologies to apply best practices in mine rehabilitation.Project, Risk, and Contract Management SkillsYou have experience in project management and change management methodologies to plan, monitor, and deliver complex projects on time.You have the ability to assess risks and provide recommendations, options, and technical expertise to senior management.You have knowledge and experience in procurement and contract management to plan, organize, and manage the tendering process, and recommend final acceptance for engineering projects.Communication and Interpersonal SkillsYou are skilled in consulting and advising stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, industry representatives, and government officials to effectively manage assigned projects/issues.You have the ability to negotiate scope changes and resolve performance issues with contractors and consultants to reach agreements.You possess a strong political acuity to manage sensitive issues and negotiate/build consensus among a multitude of diverse opinions, special interests,
