As a Cook 1, your role is vital in providing high-quality meals to residents and staff. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will prepare meals by following menus closely and ensuring food safety protocols. You'll also collaborate with your team to create memorable dining experiences during special events and manage food inventory effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review menus before meal preparation
• Perform food temperature audits and document findings
• Prepare meals according to dietary specifications
• Direct workflow and support staff during service
• Assist in menu planning and event preparations
Requirements:
• Graduation from a Cooks Training program or equivalent
• Experience in large quantity food prep, ideally in healthcare
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation
• Minimum of 2-3 years culinary experience required
• Excellent communication skills and criminal record check
