We work with proactiveclients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.Partner Staffing i s seeking on behalf of our Client an experienced and driven Senior Substation Engineer to join their dynamic team in Calgary. In this role, you will lead the design, analysis and implementation of high-voltage substation projects (typically 69kV to 500kV), supporting utilitiy, industrial and renewable energy clients across western Canada. You will work collaboratively with project managers, engineering teams and field staff to deliver technically sound and cost-effective solutions that meet regulatory and safety standards.Requirements Key Responsibilities:Lead detailed design andengineering of greenfield and brownfield substation projects, includingphysical layout, protection & control, grounding, and ancillarysystemsPerform electrical studies,equipment specifications, technical reports, and design packages for newinstallations, upgrades, or expansionsPrepare and review designdocuments, drawings (SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams), and constructionpackagesCoordinate with otherdisciplines (civil, structural, telecom, SCADA, etc.) to ensure integratedand constructible designsProvide mentorship to juniorengineers and designers, review work for quality and technical accuracySupport project managers inestimating, scheduling, procurement, and client communicationEnsure compliance withrelevant industry codes (CSA, IEEE, NEC, NESC),
