As a market facing underwriter, you have a penchant for being out in the market and developing a robust pipeline of profitable new business opportunities.You will participate in the underwriting of Primary General Liability, Lead Umbrella and Excess Liability in the mid-to-large sized Canadian Corporate segments, and assist in the development of any new product offering initiatives.The successful candidate will be evaluated based on what was accomplished and how it was achieved; such as gross written premium, productivity, price adequacy, client centricity, broker relationships, and teamwork.Key Tasks Will InvolveRepresenting Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Canada, have regular contact with brokers and clients involving our Casualty lines of businessContributing to the building and sustainability of the Casualty book of business through new business and renewal opportunitiesAnalyzing and assessing technical insurability regarding exposures and coverages on new and renewal submissions. The specific base salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
