Take on the role of Homestay Coordinator for the Rocky Mountain International Student Program in Salmon Arm, BC. Foster cultural exchange and support international students through effective coordination.
Starting August 15, 2026, this flexible 11-month contract position focuses on developing supportive relationships and ensuring high-quality experiences for students and host families alike. Work approximately 30 hours a week, maintaining important documentation and providing assistance during crisis situations. Solid communication and organizational skills are essential to navigate this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advertise and recruit homestay families
• Build relationships with international students
• Conduct student lunch meetings and activities
• Coordinate and attend extracurricular trips
• Manage documentation in online systems
Requirements:
• Class 5 BC Driver's license required
• Vehicle for student transportation preferred
• Occupational First Aid (Level 1) needed
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary
• Experience working with youth considered an asset
