Oakville, ON – 30-32 hours per week or full-time $115K-$125K base plus discretionary bonus, vacation and excellent perks We are a well‑established real estate development and construction company in Oakville that is hiring a Financial Controller to take on a key leadership role while the incumbent retires. In this position, you’ll oversee both project‑level and corporate accounting, lead monthly reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, support investor and lender reporting, and mentor one accountant. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, continuous improvement, and working closely with senior decision‑makers in a company that has a very family feel. You will be given a lot of autonomy, you don't need to work full‑time hours, and this business is the type of company that buys the team lunch every Friday and are sent home early at times. Most people at this company have been there for over ten years. This role reports to the President.



Key Responsibilities Oversee full‑cycle accounting for 20+ entities Standardize and review monthly project reporting Approve month‑end close and forecasts Review cost consultant reports and closing entries Prepare equity/debt draws and support investor relations Improve policies, processes, and accounting systems (may include a transition to Jonas Premier) Manage daily cash flow projections and trend reports Ad‑hoc responsibilities that you can take off the president Ideal Candidate CPA designated 3+ years in an accounting leadership role Strong communication, Excel skills, and judgment Detail‑oriented, organized, proactive, and team‑focused Please apply directly to this posting.
