The Town of Oakville is seeking a Harbourperson Assistant for a four-month contract, reporting to the Harbours Coordinator. Candidates should possess at least two years of related experience, including boating, carpentry, and equipment maintenance. This role focuses on performing boat operations, conducting inspections, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in harbour areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, assemble, and dismantle docks and harbours
• Inspect and maintain floating docks and marina facilities
• Operate motorboats for launching and towing purposes




• Conduct daily equipment checks and report defects
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in harbour areas
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion with 2 years of related experience
• Valid Pleasure Craft Operator's card
• Knowledge of boat operations and safety regulations
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ontario class DZ driver’s licence with a clean record
