Join the PACU team at CGMH and enhance your nursing skills as a Registered Nurse. This part-time role focuses on patient recovery before and after surgery, ensuring exceptional care and safety.
You'll be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, educating them about the process, and monitoring their recovery from anesthesia. Collaborating with surgical teams, you'll support secure patient recoveries while managing pain control and vital signs during their critical moments in the PACU.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for surgery and conduct assessments
• Monitor patients in the PACU for vital signs and comfort
• Collaborate with the surgical team for safe recoveries
• Educate patients on recovery expectations and care




• Provide comprehensive discharge instructions for patients
Requirements:
• Current RN Certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Two years of recent critical care experience required
• BCLS and ACLS certifications needed
• PACU Certificate (to be obtained within six months)
• Critical Care or Emergency Department Certification preferred
