AccounTECH is a 12-week, government-funded program in Red Deer designed for participants who wish to upgrade/refresh their accounting/bookkeeping skills, particularly those with relevant backgrounds in office-related fields. includes résumé development, soft skills, accounting fundamentals, computer essentials, payroll, QuickBooks, AI tools, cybersecurity, and more, as well as a two-week practicum. Classes will be in person from Monday through Friday, 9 am-3 pm.
The program is specifically designed to meet job-specific technical skills aimed at meeting the requirements for current job openings in accounting administration roles across a wide variety of labor market sectors.
During this program you will receive:
- 2 weeks of workshops on resume development, interview preparation and job search strategies in addition to individual career coaching
- 8 weeks in-class training with Re-train Canada on accounting work related skills and computer programs
- 2 weeks of work experience
- Connection to the market with dedicated support from Job Placement Consultant for three months after completing training
