About the job In this role, you will:
Provide advice on security, emergency management, business continuity, and risk management to help keep people, facilities, and information safe.
Develop and maintain security, emergency response, and business continuity plans.
Conduct risk and threat assessments and recommend solutions to strengthen safety and security.
Deliver training and exercises to support emergency preparedness and response.
Support the ministry's response to emergencies and security incidents.
What you bring to the team Mandatory requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain certification/training as set out by the Chief EMO Office as per the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
Emergency Management and Physical Security Expertise
Knowledge of emergency management, business continuity, physical security, workplace safety, and risk management.
Experience developing security, emergency management,
or business continuity plans and programs.
Experience conducting risk, threat, or workplace violence assessments.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, standards and best practices.
Experience developing security plans and conducting assessments related to workplace violence prevention, physical security, and protection of employees, facilities, and assets.
Extensive experience overseeing and coordinating complex projects, procurements and contracts.
Communication and Collaboration Skills
Well-developed communication skills to prepare briefing materials, reports, recommendations, and training materials.
Experience providing advice and training to a range of stakeholders.
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with partners.
Proficiency with standard office software applications to support planning, analysis, documentation, reporting, and communications activities.
Critical-Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
Analytical skills to identify risks, gaps, and practical solutions.
Experience evaluating programs and recommending improvements.
Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively in complex or time-sensitive situations.
Experience supporting emergency response, recovery, or business continuity activities.
