Pacific Community Resources Society is seeking a Cook I for its transitional housing initiative, The 1.1.2., supporting young adults aged 18-24. You will assist the lead Cook in preparing healthy, nutritious meals daily while maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety standards. Your role allows for creativity in menu planning and engaging with diverse cultural foods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver nutritious meals for residents
• Maintain inventory and kitchen documentation
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
• Train volunteers and participants in kitchen safety
• Facilitate food sustainability with community partners
Requirements:
• 2 years of cooking experience in a licensed facility
• Experience with commercial kitchen coordination preferred
• Background in culinary training is a bonus
• Ability to work effectively with youth
• Solid communication and time management skills
