The Laundry Attendant works closely with the Room Attendants in order to provide clean and fully serviced guest rooms to hotel customers. The Laundry Attendant collects, sorts, and cleans soiled linens, while also ensuring the cleanliness of all hotel linen prior to returning it to circulation. Once linen has been cleaned, it is delivered to Room Attendants for use in guest rooms.

Responsibilities:

- Sort guest room linens, separating towels, sheets, and rags to be cleaned accordingly.
- Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
- Stained linens are removed for additional cleaning. All items that cannot be cleaned to hotel standards are removed from circulation.
- Store laundered linen on shelves to be delivered to Room Attendants on guest floors.
- Stock Room Attendant closets on guest floors with clean linen
- Continuously monitor condition of hotel linens in order to remove damaged product from use in guest rooms.
- Ensure laundered linen is organized and neatly stacked/stored.




- Perform all duties and responsibility in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company polices to achieve overall objectives.
- Monitor effectiveness of laundry equipment and machinery, informing Management of any malfunctions or defects.
- Must have comprehensive understanding of hotel emergency procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Qualified attitude and the ability to follow instruction required
- Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines
- Physical mobility and stamina required
- Detail oriented and the ability to work independently, sometimes without direct supervision
- Experience working in a fast-paced Hotel setting is preferred
