REGISTERED NURSE:

EMERGENCY ROOM (ER) RN & INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU) RN

Job Description: Emergency Room (ER) RN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room (ER) Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be adept at delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, providing critical support to patients experiencing medical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Assessment: Quickly and accurately assess patients' conditions upon arrival, triaging them based on the severity of their condition.
- Emergency Care: Provide immediate and effective emergency care and treatment to patients, including administering medications, performing CPR, wound care, and other life-saving interventions.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with ER physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including observations, treatments administered, and patient progress.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain medical equipment used in the ER, ensuring it is functional and available for immediate use.
- Crisis Management: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating calmness under pressure.
- Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights and needs, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate care.
- Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulations,



maintaining high standards of care and patient safety.

Qualifications:

- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in an emergency room
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.

Job Description: INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU) RN

We are searching for a dedicated intensive care unit (ICU) nurse to deliver vital care to seriously ill or injured patients in our ICU department. As a specialized nurse, you will be highly trained to treat patients who have suffered strokes, heart attacks, or undergone invasive surgery. You will perform a range of tasks including performing diagnostic tests, conducting follow-up visits, monitoring patient recovery, and responding to medical emergencies. In addition to having a highly analytical mindset, our ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and monitor the patient’s progress.
- Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
- Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members.
- Begin treatment and monitor doses.
- If necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert the appropriate doctors.




- Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit.
- Complete all necessary paperwork before transferring a patient.
- Maintain patient records.
- Create and implement effective care plans.
- Respond to code blue.
- Float to medical surgical ward as part of the rotation.

Qualifications:

- Licensure: Active Ontario Registered Nurse (RN) license with good standing.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Intensive Care Unit.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred. TNCC, CTAS, Triage Experience (required).
