Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Siding Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will install a variety of exterior cladding systems while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Install vinyl, engineered wood (LP SmartSide), fiber cement, metal, and composite siding systems.
- Install house wrap, rainscreen systems, flashings, trims, starter strips, and accessories.
- Measure, cut, and fit siding materials accurately.
- Install soffit, fascia, eavestrough, and exterior finishing components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work site.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, pump jacks, aerial lifts, and other equipment.
- Identify and communicate any structural or moisture issues before installation.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Work professionally with homeowners, builders, and coworkers.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and material management.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of siding installation or exterior carpentry experience.
- Experience installing one or more of the following:
- Vinyl siding
- LP SmartSide
- James Hardie / fiber cement
- Steel or aluminum siding
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Comfortable lifting 50 lbs (23 kg) or more.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.





Preferred Qualifications

- Fall Protection certification.
- Aerial Work Platform (Scissor Lift/Boom Lift) certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience operating telehandlers or skid steers.
- Experience leading a crew.

Wage

$30.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience, productivity, and leadership ability.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturdays during peak season
- 8–10 hour shifts
