Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Body Shop Manager to lead our automotive repair and collision center operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily shop activities, ensure high-quality repairs, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive efficiency, foster a positive team environment, and promote growth through effective sales and upselling strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive repair, possesses strong mechanical knowledge, and has a proven track record in dealership or body shop management.

Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of the body shop operations, including workflow, staffing, and customer interactions to ensure smooth daily performance.
- Oversee vehicle repairs, ensuring they meet quality standards and are completed within established timeframes.
- Lead and motivate a team of technicians and support staff, providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide transparent communication about repair processes, and resolve any issues promptly to maximize satisfaction.
- Drive sales initiatives by upselling additional services or repairs that benefit the customer while increasing shop revenue.




- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and financial records related to shop transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies, ensuring timely procurement to avoid delays in repairs.

Requirements

- Proven experience managing a dealership or automotive body shop with a strong background in automotive repair processes.
- Extensive mechanic experience with solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell services effectively without compromising customer trust.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with automotive software systems is a plus.
