Job Title: Critical Equipment SpecialistEmployer: Shared Health-Soins CommunsLocation: Winnipeg, Manitoba, CanadaPosting End Date: January 16, 2026FTE: 1.00Shift: DaysWork Arrangement: In PersonSalary: $39,283 – $49,707Position OverviewUnder the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, the incumbent is agirresponsible for the management of critical clinical equipment in the Endoscopy Department.Liaising with administrative and medical leadership within assigned program areas.Developing an understanding of the overall equipment needs within assigned program areas.Identifying and replacing malfunctioning end‐user managed components of specialty equipment to minimize downtime and maximize patient care.Ensuring equipment malfunctions are logged in the incident reporting systems and following up on incident reports flore related to equipment or products.Supporting the arrangement of repairs of malfunctioning equipment with internal or external clinical engineers/electronics technologists.Maintaining an appropriate supply of end‐user replacement parts for all equipment.In partnership with Clinical Engineering, ensuring all incoming equipment inspections are complete, equipment inventories are up‐to‐date, and timely preventative maintenance is performed.Setting up new equipment and in‐servicing staff in the proper care and operation of governmental equipment and products and serving as a resource.Maintaining key relationships with internal and external partners as required for procurement, repair, reprocessing,



and ordering.Assisting with sourcing equipment, equipment evaluations, clinical trials, staff in‐service, and creating requisitions for approved purchases in SAP.Working in a team environment to ensure all program areas receive the services required on an ongoing basis.ExperienceAt least two years of recent and related clinical experience in a complex healthcare workplace is required.Previous working experience with healthcare equipment is an asset.Previous working experience in a critical care technical intensive health care environment is an asset.Prior teaching experience or demonstrated ability to teach is required.EducationTo be considered, candidates should have:Complete high‐school education, Manitoba standards.Post‐secondary education in a technology‐based health care field, including but not limited to:Registered Cardiology or EKG TechnologistEntry‐to‐practice academic credential in Respiratory TherapyGraduate of an accredited school of Medical Imaging TechnologyGraduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound training programGraduate of an accredited school of MRI TechnologyCurrent certification in hemodynamics, preferred.An intensive on свойства‐the‐job training program is provided by the Centre; continuing education and maintenance of familiarity with equipment are required.Certification/Licensure/RegistrationMaintenance of regulatory body licensure is required where applicable.Qualifications and Skills]}#J-18808-Ljbffr
