We are working on a transformational project that we believe will have a global impact, and we expect our team members to solve complex, unique technical problems on a daily basis. Our team members are given a high degree of product ownership, including the latitude to propose and implement approaches that can be divergent from all standard or existing solutions.ResponsibilitiesBuild backend API featuresDatabase designMeaningfully contribute to product planning, project management tasks and overall company developmentMentor and lead a medium sized teamHandle task creation, task breakdown, and distributionImprove our infrastructure and continuously improve our Backend TeamDesired Skills or ExperienceFive (5) years of work experience in a development agency or company development environmentsExperience leading small to midsize multi product backend teams with demonstrated ability to mentor, grow team members as well as provide technical guidance and oversight on implementation directionExperience designing RESTful API and microservices architectureIn-depth experience with Laravel/Lumen frameworkVery Strong database design and optimization experienceSolid experience with debugging and identifying performance bottlenecksExperience with Postgres (SQL) and Redis (In-memory DB)
