This position is posted to fill an existing vacancy.D37Duties and AccountabilitiesReporting to Superintendent Smelter and Mill Engineering, the Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible and accountable for the assessment, design, planning, cost estimates and control, document control, project management, construction, commissioning and close‑out of work requiring engineering principles within a specific discipline. The incumbent provides leadership and direction to skilled and technical staff at the site. Direct reports may include seconded engineers, project leads, designers, draftspersons, project support staff, and engineering students.
