Cyber Security GRC OfficerLeverageTek is actively seeking a Cyber Security GRC Officer for a 1‑year term with its Ottawa‑based customer.Work Location : RemoteClearance : Eligible for Enhanced ReliabilityKey TasksConduct cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance activities, including technical control reviews and evidence‑based compliance reporting.Lead and support ISO 27001/27002 control assessments, gap analysis, and remediation initiatives.Implement and operationalize a GRC tooling solution, including evaluating tools, identifying gaps, and supporting adoption.Develop, update, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and risk methodologies.Perform enterprise and third‑party risk assessments, including vendor assessments and third‑party risk management processes.Support compliance and self‑assessments against PCI DSS and other applicable frameworks.Monitor and measure cybersecurity posture across technologies, processes, and business units.Act as a senior technical and risk reviewer, assessing audit evidence and validating controls.Partner with IT and non‑IT stakeholders to translate technical security requirements into clear, business‑friendly language.Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.Key QualificationsSenior‑level experience performing or supporting security audits and risk assessments, either as an auditor or audit subject.Hands‑on experience implementing and/or using GRC tools, with the ability to assess tooling fit and maturity.Strong ability to evaluate evidence, think critically,
and provide defensible risk‑based recommendations to leadership.西Other QualificationsCollege diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field.Senior‑level cybersecurity certification such as CISSP or equivalent.Proven experience conducting ISO 27001/27002 control assessments and remediation.Experience with additional ISO standards such as ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and emerging areas (e.G., AI governance) is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience with PCI DSS, including self‑assessments.Strong background in vulnerability assessment, security audits, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP), intrusion detection systems, and firewalls.Proven ability to write and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and technical documentation.Experience working with director‑level stakeholders and communicating effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences.Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior team members.AssetsBilingual (English and French).Experience in a government, public‑sector, or federal‑adjacent workplace.Compensation:$94,000–113,000 (eligible for skills scarcity bonus)This is an existing position vacancy.LeverageTek is an equal prospect employer.
