The incumbent will gather information, analyze it, effectively disseminate it and liaise with other team members and the leadership team of the organization to provide insights and implications that will lead to concrete recommendations and plans.You will work with a team of dedicated research professionals committed to expanding the knowledge base and solving payment related issues for our organization, our members and stakeholders. consistent with and in support of our organizational objectives and priorities.| A day in the lifeThe main responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited too:Payment Foresight Development And CommunicationSupport research and data-driven projects that advance the company's strategic objectives and provide value add to Payments Canada's member financial institutions.Remaining current and developing knowledge products based on deep understanding of ecosystem developments and research outputs, and how to communicate their implications and significance to a broader audience (the "so what").Provide timely responses to data and analysis requests to support decision-making and organizational goals.Research Insight Facilitation And CollaborationCommunicating Strategic Research insights to a broader audience and facilitating dialogue to inform and enhance research agenda.Establish relationships to foster collaboration with internal stakeholders and participate in contact with external stakeholders.Supporting the preparation of internal and external presentations of research findings and analysis; Coordinating status updates, and facilitating meetings with staff, stakeholders and members as part of the above.Support in providing the necessary research materials and guidance to co-op students, committees, task forces, and working groups.Content Development And Strategic EngagementDriving and developing content and reports on topics related to payments market intelligence and engagement.Participating as a SME on the Research team and supporting this engagement with a consultative role for cross-functional teams at Payments Canada.Providing quantitative and qualitative research input to Strategic Research deliverables including, executive briefing notes, topic summaries, and trend tracking reports.Planning and actively contributing to reporting on payment challenges and innovations.Providing feedback to Product and Market Research deliverables, including the Payments Behaviour Tracker (and subsequent Insight Packs) and the Canadian Payment Methods and Trends Report.| What you need to be successfulUndergraduate degree in social sciences, research, business, economics or a related field of relevant experience.A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research, and synthesizing and consolidating complex information, including support for the development of research papers, briefing notes,
