(Delightful Work)What You’ll DoHere’s what you’ll do:Design and implement a scalable automated testing strategy for integration and end-to-end testingIdentify gaps in automated coverage and propose solutions aligned with engineering prioritiesWrite automation in the same languages and frameworks used by product engineers, ensuring it’s first-class and maintainablePartner with engineering teams to ensure automation enables faster, more predictable deliveryFocus automation efforts on high-risk, high-impact areasIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide quick, reliable feedbackInvestigate and reduce test flakiness, long runtimes, and low-signal failuresStrengthen pre-release validation to help prevent regressionsSupport test data setup and environment management for reliable testingUse defects and failures as learning opportunities to improve automation patternsCommunicate clearly about test coverage, risks, and limitationsDocument automation tools, patterns, and learnings so others can adopt and extend themCollaborate across multiple teams, balancing priorities while providing guidance on quality practicesWhat You BringSome of the qualities that help you thrive in this role:5+ years of professional experience in QA automation or software engineering with a quality focusStrong ability to write production-quality code in modern engineering stacksExperience building or extending test automation frameworksHands‑on experience with tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similarFamiliarity with CI/CD systems and test reliability concernsSolid understanding of modern software delivery practicesAbility to work effectively across teams with different needs and constraintsClear communicator with a pragmatic, improvement-oriented mindsetBonus:Experience leading or scaling an automation initiative in a previous role.Compensation & PerksWe believe in fair, transparent compensation. Starting salary for this role is$110,000 - $125,000 CAD, depending on previous experience and skillset, plus a 5% annual bonus opportunity based on company performance.New hires are expected to come in at the midpoint of this range. However,
