ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)

- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.

- Dialysis Assistant/Technician training preferred. Training will be provided to hired candidates.

- Preferred knowledge of hemodialysis within the last 2 years

- Preferred working knowledge of dialysis equipment including Fresenius 5008K dialysis machine and water treatment system.



Training on machines will be provided to employees.

- Current CPR certification.

- Computer skills to include Intranet, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word ,Excel) and ORMED systems

- Experience working with and handling of biohazardous materials

- Understanding of sterile techniques and handling of sterile equipment.

- Knowledge of infection control measures and aseptic technique

- Ability to complete the required environmental cleaning.

- Excellent communication, time management, prioritization and critical thinking skills.

- Experience working with chronically ill and palliative clients

- Experience with patient transfers, lifts, and assisting nurses with patient ADLs

- Satisfactory attendance.
