Join the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program as a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist. This position requires a proactive approach in a full-time, dynamic lab environment.

Reporting to the Core Laboratory Manager, the Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform a variety of lab tests, driving quality and community health initiatives. You will manage workflow, troubleshoot equipment failures, design current methodologies, and maintain quality control standards within the lab.

Educational involvement with MLT students and residents is also essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily staffing and lab operations
- Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment
- Coordinate external quality assurance activities




- Validate new instruments and methodologies
- Educate medical staff and train students effectively

Requirements:

- Certification from the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Sciences
- At least 3 years of relevant lab experience
- Extensive skills in Hematology and Chemistry
- Proven leadership and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of IQMH Quality Management standards
