We are seeking a caring, reliable, and compassionate live-in caregiver/companion to support a 95-year-old gentleman living independently in his beautiful Mill Bay home. The client is a friendly, mobile senior with mild dementia who no longer drives. He is able to manage many aspects of daily living but perks from companionship, gentle guidance, and assistance with maintaining a safe and enjoyable lifestyle. Responsibilities may include: * Providing companionship and meaningful daily interaction * Assisting with errands, appointments, and transportation needs * Helping with meal planning, grocery shopping, and light meal preparation * Providing reminders and gentle support with daily routines * Encouraging independence while ensuring safety and comfort * Light household assistance (tidying, laundry, general organization) * Accompanying him on walks, outings, or social activities as appropriate * Monitoring changes in routine, mood, or wellbeing and communicating concerns Ideal candidate: * Warm, patient, and respectful with older adults * Comfortable supporting someone with mild memory impairment * Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently * Enjoys conversation, companionship, and creating a positive home environment * Valid driver's licence and own car preferred Living arrangement: This is a live-in position in a spacious, well-maintained home in Mill Bay. The caregiver will have private accommodation on the second level, including their own bedroom and a bathroom. The client has his own bedroom with ensuite on the main floor. This is an opportunity to provide companionship and support to a senior gentleman who values his independence and wishes to remain in his own home.
