Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Global Tax, reporting to the Manager, Global Taxation, is responsible for Canadian income tax compliance, tax reporting and analyses, and audits for Canadian companies within the global Apotex organization and plays an integral role in supporting the global tax function.

Job Responsibilities

- Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions under IFRS, including supporting tax schedules.
- Maintain and reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate reporting of tax balances across jurisdictions.
- Support internal and external auditors with tax information requests.
- Calculate and assist with tax installments, monitor refunds and tax assessments.
- Review Canadian corporate income tax returns and related filings.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Support internal and external stakeholders by responding to tax-related inquiries, conducting tax research where necessary.
- Assist with the automation and enhancement of processes.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.




- Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Collaborate cross functionally with Finance and other internal stakeholders to support tax related projects and business initiatives
- Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

- Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.
- CPA designation or in-progress.
- In-depth or Masters of Tax in-progress

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Experience with tax provision preparation.
- Solid understanding of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
- Advanced excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organization and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.

- Experience

- 3+ years of tax experience in Canadian corporate tax and reporting.
