Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Interior Systems Mechanic (Steel Framer & Boarder) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel stud framing, boarding, and T-bar installation, and will take pride in producing top-quality work while maintaining a protected and professional jobsite.

This is a full-time position offering year-round work and an opportunity to grow with a company that values skill, reliability, and respect.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Install steel stud framing according to code and project requirements
- Hang drywall quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Install T-bar ceiling systems with precision and attention to layout details
- Train and mentor apprentices in proper trade techniques
- Maintain and update project safety documentation and checklists




- Follow directions accurately and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Ensure all work meets Dunam Drywall’s standards for quality and safety

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of experience in steel stud framing and drywall installation
- Experience installing T-bar ceiling systems preferred
- Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction practices
- Proven ability to follow directions accurately and complete work to specification
- Excellent time management and leadership skills
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player
- Willingness to relocate to Fort St. John, BC
- Fluent in English
- Must be a permanent resident of Canada or legally entitled to work in Canada (We do NOT meet LMIA requirements)

Compensation & Benefits

- $25.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-time, year-round employment
- Safety, tool, and clothing allowance after a 3-month probationary period
