The Design Build Crew will be required to assist the crew leader or the lead hand in preparing the job site for day-to-day activities. They will be tasked with cleaning and preparation of job sites and operating a variety of tools and equipment to complete the job.

Primary Duties

- Clean and perform preparation of work-site.
- Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Provide physical labor, including heavy lifting.
- Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed.
- Perform demolition work and salvage useful materials.
- Read and interpret plans, instructions, blueprints, structural drawings, rough sketches, and specifications to determine work activities.
- Interact professionally with clients and assist them through any issues they may have.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Work Workplace

- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Travel to off-site locations may be required
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g., green omega safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Overtime as required

Applicant Requirements

- Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training in Horticulture or Landscape Technology
- Appropriate credentials and certifications, including WHMIS, First Aid, CPR
- Previous experience in landscape construction is an asset
- Strong knowledge of landscaping equipment, materials, and best practices
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Work independently in a busy environment
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail

Salary Range

$21 – $40+ per hour
