Position: Senior CRM - Software Developer

Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior CRM - Software Developer with strong expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), ArcGIS technologies, VertiGIS/Geocortex applications, cloud platforms, and enterprise application development.

The successful consultant will support a multi-year modernization initiative focused on upgrading business-critical GIS applications from legacy Geocortex technology to the next-generation VertiGIS platform. The role requires a combination of technical leadership, software development expertise, GIS systems knowledge, stakeholder engagement, and solution architecture experience.

Scope

Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise GIS solutions.

Upgrade existing Geocortex applications to the VertiGIS platform while maintaining business functionality.

Develop and support GIS web applications and services.

Design and implement integrations with ArcGIS Enterprise technologies.

Assignment Deliverables

GIS application upgrades and modernization solutions.

Technical architecture and design documentation.

Functional and technical specifications.

Installation guides and build documentation.

Application testing and implementation support.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Experience using GIS software suites, including ArcGIS,



VertiGIS/Geocortex, and/or FME.

Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Image Server, ArcGIS Notebooks, File Geodatabases, and ArcPro SDK.

Experience developing GIS and web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, VertiGIS/Geocortex, and related technologies.

Experience with Microsoft Azure, GIS infrastructure modernization, networking, and cloud-based solutions.

Solid programming experience with Python, .NET, C#, C++, SQL, VBA, and related SDKs.

Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices, REST APIs, JSON, and AJAX.

Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices.

Experience supporting accessibility and AODA-compliant application development.

Experience leading GIS modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
