Position: Senior Project Control Officer

Duration: 1.5 Years assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Control Officer to support the planning, coordination, tracking, reporting, and successful execution of complex project initiatives.

The successful consultant will work closely with Managers, Project Managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are effectively coordinated, monitored, documented, and reported. This role requires strong project coordination expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, project controls experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a structured project environment.

Scope

Support Managers and Project Managers in coordinating project activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain project work plans, schedules, status reporting, action items, risks, and issue logs.

Coordinate project documentation and ensure governance artifacts are reviewed, approved, and maintained.

Prepare management dashboards, executive summaries, and project status reports.

Assignment Deliverables

Project status reports and executive summaries.

Project schedules, work plans, and tracking documentation.

Risk, issue, action item, and dependency logs.

Management dashboards and project metrics.

Meeting coordination, minutes, and follow-up tracking.

Expertise Required

Must Have:





7-10 years of experience coordinating projects within complex business or technology environments.

Experience working closely with Managers and Project Managers to provide project updates, escalate issues, identify risks, and coordinate project deliverables.

Experience developing project status reports and maintaining project tracking logs, risk logs, and reporting repositories.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Planview, or similar platforms.

Solid understanding of project management principles, including project scope, risk management, planning, budgeting, quality management, and stakeholder engagement.

Experience coordinating meetings, facilitating discussions, and managing project communications.

Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups to gather updates and maintain project reporting activities.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

Experience maintaining executive dashboards and project performance metrics.
