Job Description:

The Mountain Sports School Operations Assistant plays an essential role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Mountain Sports School. This role helps ensure a positive experience for guests by keeping daily operations running smoothly and providing excellent customer service when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Open and prepare the Mountain Sports School for daily operations.
- Set up lesson areas, including chairs, lesson flags, and program materials.
- Ensure the facility and surrounding access areas are clean, safe, and guest-ready.
- Complete daily health and safety checks, including temperature recordings.
- Set up the Cupcake Carpet learning zone, including fencing, learning tools, obstacles, and walking mats.
- Assist with lesson check-in by welcoming guests, connecting them with instructors, and coordinating student attendance and lesson groups as required.
- Prepare and serve lunches for children’s programs and instructors while following Food Safe procedures and accommodating dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
- Perform end-of-day cleaning and closing duties, including cleaning common areas, washrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
- Other duties as required





Qualifications & Skills:

- Work eligibility in Canada – can provide work permit and SIN documentation
- Previous experience in hospitality, recreation, childcare, customer service, or a ski resort environment is an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Ability to operate independently and integrate within a large team.
- Fluency in English, second languages are an asset.
- Food Safe Level 1 certification is required. Candidates who do not already hold this certification will receive employer-paid training before performing food handling duties.
