Experienced Low Voltage / Security / Audio Video Technician

K&S; Electronics & Security Inc. is growing, and we are looking to add one or two experienced technicians to our team.

We are a Winnipeg-based integration company working on a wide range of residential and commercial projects, including audio/video, security alarms, surveillance, card access, voice entry systems, motorized shades, home automation, networking, permanent outdoor lighting, golf simulators, and more.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years of field experience who can jump in, contribute right away, and become a robust part of our team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate may be involved in the installation, service, programming, and troubleshooting of systems such as:

- Security alarm systems
- Surveillance camera systems
- Card access systems
- Voice entry / intercom systems
- Audio/video systems
- Distributed audio
- Home theatre systems
- Home automation systems
- Networking and Wi-Fi systems
- Motorized shades
- Permanent outdoor lighting
- Golf simulator technology
- Residential and commercial low voltage wiring

Experience With the Following Is an Asset

Experience in all areas is not required, but the more experience you have, the better. Experience with Control4 would be considered a strong asset.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have:





- Minimum 2 years of field experience in low voltage, security, AV, or related industries
- Valid driver’s license
- Class M license is an asset
- Own basic tools
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to follow direction
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable and punctual
- Team-player attitude
- Clean criminal record
- Bondable
- Professional attitude when working with clients, builders, and team members

Schedule

Monday to Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Overtime may be required depending on project schedules and workload.

Compensation

Wage is dependent on experience, skill set, licensing, and overall capabilities.

Typical wage range: $25–$36 per hour

Highly experienced candidates with strong programming, Control4, commercial security, access control, networking, project leadership, or Class M licensing may be considered up to $42 per hour.

Company vehicles may be provided depending on role and responsibilities. Benefits and pension plan are available after an extended period of employment.
