Night Auditor

Founded in 1970, Steele Hotels is an independent hotel operator based out of Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. With origins in Gander, NL the company has grown to include 8 properties located in St. John's, NL, Corner Brook, NL, and Fredericton, NB.

Steele Hotels is looking for a full-time Night Auditor to join our growing team at JAG Hotel in St. John’s, NL. The ideal candidate would possess a positive "can-do" attitude, and a high level of professionalism, coupled with a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills. This often involves working in fast-paced workplace conditions at varying times throughout the day or night.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

- ·Perform overnight audit shifts, reconciling all accounts in a timely manner and verifying all end of day cash etc. from multiple departments
- Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay
- Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
- Ensure invoices are accurate and sent to the accounting department
- Schedule guest wake-up calls and book reservations
- Answer phone calls, verify reservations and guest requests
- Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and issues, as needed
- Demonstrate a professional and positive presentation to guests and colleagues, and be well groomed
- Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

- 2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality
- A high school diploma or equivalent,



plus one year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Provide a clear Criminal Record Screening Certificate
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to learn computer functions and other on-the-job skills
- Strong eye for details and the ability to multitask
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
