Job Overview

Galaxy Freightline Inc. is a growing transportation and logistics company specializing in LTL, FTL, cross-docking, and time-sensitive freight solutions across Canada. We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team in Mississauga.

The successful candidates will play a key role in our daily cross-dock operations by safely and efficiently loading and unloading trailers, sorting LTL freight, staging shipments, and ensuring freight moves through our facility accurately and on schedule.

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in safe equipment operation, understand the importance of freight accuracy, and enjoy working in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate forklifts, including counterbalance and/or reach equipment, to load and unload trailers
- Perform cross-dock operations including receiving, sorting, staging, and transferring freight
- Load outbound trailers according to delivery routes, freight requirements, and proper weight distribution
- Unload inbound trailers and accurately stage freight for outbound shipments
- Verify freight labels, shipment information, and piece counts
- Assist with LTL freight consolidation and shipment preparation
- Handle freight carefully to prevent damage
- Properly stage and organize freight within designated warehouse areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Report damaged freight, shortages, or discrepancies to supervisors
- Work closely with Drivers,



Warehouse Supervisors, Operations, and Customer Service teams
- Assist with trailer and dock organization as required
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency and service levels

Qualifications

- Minimum 2-3 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, transportation, or cross-dock environment
- Experience working in an LTL, trucking, or logistics environment considered an asset
- Valid forklift certification required
- Ability to safely operate equipment in a busy transportation facility
- Experience loading and unloading trailers preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify and handle freight
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift, move, and handle freight as required
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Full-Time Positions Available – Hiring for Both Day and Afternoon Shifts

Day Shift:
Monday to Friday
6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Afternoon Shift:
Monday to Friday
3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
