Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality coffee, beverages and light food, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, retail math, and POS systems within a vibrant café setting. Prior experience in coffee or food industry environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure your success.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using proper techniques
- Operate POS systems such as Light Speed for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation and food safety protocols as needed
- Restock supplies and ensure the café is organized and inviting




- Engage with customers to create a positive experience, promoting sales of products and specials
- Follow health regulations related to food handling and serving

Experience

- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and managing sales transactions
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, and serving protocols is advantageous
