We are seeking an individual to work a flexible schedule with weekday daytime, evening and weekend availability. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert advice to patients, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards in retail pharmacy setting. Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Provide comprehensive patient care by offering medication counseling, answering questions, and advising on proper usage.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy plans for diverse patient populations.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of medical terminology, drug interactions, and current pharmaceutical regulations.
- Monitor medication administration processes within the pharmacy setting, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in inventory management by ordering, receiving, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies to prevent shortages or excess.
- Support patients with medication adherence strategies, especially in acute care and pediatric settings.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Experience
- Previous retail pharmacy experience using Telus Health Kroll workflow is highly beneficial.
- Strong background in patient care activities related to medication counseling and education.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice and healthcare communication.
- Proven ability to manage medication administration processes within fast-paced clinical settings.
- Demonstrated competence in collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
