Chan & Co. Qualified Corporation is a well-established CPA firm located in North York, serving small and medium sized businesses throughout the GTA. We are seeking an experienced full time technician / bookkeeper to join our team.
Candidates for this position should have experience in a public accounting firm and have a solid foundation in performance of full cycle bookkeeping functions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform bookkeeping functions for clients, including journal entry & account reconciliations
· Preparation of GST/HST, payroll, WSIB and other government filings
· Preparation of financial statements for compilation engagements
· Assist in the preparation of personal, corporate and trust tax returns
· Communication with clients and CRA
· Working closely with staff, managers and partners
Qualifications
· Minimum 1 year of prior practical experience in a public accounting firm
· Experience with Quickbooks is strongly encouraged
· Knowledge of Caseware / Caseview and Taxprep is an asset
