Shelly’s Indigenous Bistro is looking for dependable, hardworking Prep Cooks to join our growing kitchen team. We are an Indigenous-owned restaurant serving modern Indigenous comfort food, takeout, catering, and community-focused dining experiences. We’re looking for team members who are reliable, respectful, and ready to learn in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, and ingredients
- Assist with food assembly and line preparation
- Follow recipes, portioning, and food safety standards
- Maintain clean and organized prep stations
- Support kitchen operations, catering prep, and inventory organization
- Help maintain proper food storage, labeling, and FIFO practices

What We’re Looking For

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization




- Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset, but not required

Requirements

- Food Handler Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
