Branch Manager – Technical Inside Sales Description

Our client is looking for a Branch Manager to lead their Halifax, NS location. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role combines hands-on technical inside sales with branch leadership. Approximately two-thirds of your time will be spent supporting customers throughout Eastern Canada by preparing quotations, answering technical questions, recommending automation, instrumentation and valve solutions, and coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers. The remaining one-third of your time will focus on leading the branch: overseeing daily operations, coaching your team, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

This is not a quota-driven sales position. Success comes from providing outstanding technical support, building customer relationships, and helping your team deliver responsive service. You’ll work alongside the same team you supervise, serving as both a technical resource and a hands-on leader. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, valves, process control, or a related field and enjoys balancing customer support with team leadership. Branch Manager – Technical Inside Sales Responsibilities

- Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers throughout Eastern Canada




- Work with customers to identify the appropriate products and solutions for their applications
- Review RFQs, identify customer requirements, and prepare accurate technical quotations
- Answer technical and commercial inquiries while coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers
- Lead daily team check-ins and Support the Inside Sales team
- Balance workloads and reassign priorities to meet customer expectations
- Send daily status updates to keep leadership informed of branch activity
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, employee development, and annual performance reviews

Branch Manager – Technical Inside Sales Qualifications

- College diploma or bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation, valves, process control or related technical industry required
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
- Strong communication and organizational skills required

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
