As a Coach Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of motor coaches. Your responsibilities will include:

- Review work orders and discuss work with Maintenance Supervisor
- Inspect motor vehicles in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial systems including chassis, frame, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems. In accordance with manufacturer's specifications
- Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with Maintenance Supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
- Ability to work as efficiently as possible with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of vehicle reports and CVOR
- Ability to safety operate all equipment in the shop
- Follow shop procedures and company policies relating to the use of shop and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Must maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment, both interior and exterior
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.





Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-12:00am with 1 hour break for dinner

Qualifications:

Essential:

- Valid Class "310T" Truck and Coach License
- Proven experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment (Cummins INSITE)
- Experience with Cummins ISX & X12 diesel engines & aftertreatment systems

Preferred:

- Familiarity with MCI Coaches
- Experience with Detroit DD13 diesel engines and aftertreatment systems
- Experience with Allison B500 automatic transmission
