About the Role

Ocean Ridge Group is looking for a Supply Chain Buyer to source secondary and slow-moving paper and adhesive materials directly from mills and manufacturers across North America. This is a hands-on procurement role where you'll own supplier relationships end to end — from first outreach to negotiating availability, to coordinating pickups with our logistics team.

Sourcing this kind of inventory isn't like ordering from a catalogue. Supply is limited and relationships matter, so the buyers who succeed here are the ones mills and manufacturers want to call first when material becomes available. You'll be the face of Ocean Ridge Group to your suppliers and their key point of contact every month, keeping a steady flow of material coming in.

This role is a strong fit for recent supply chain, logistics, or business graduates — you'll get real experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier relationship management, and logistics coordination from day one. Experienced candidates are equally welcome and will take on a larger supplier portfolio sooner.

What You'll Do

- Identify and reach out to paper mills and manufacturers to source secondary, excess, and slow-moving inventory
- Build and maintain ongoing supplier relationships as their monthly point of contact, keeping material flowing consistently
- Negotiate pricing, quantities, and availability with suppliers




- Coordinate material pickups and act as the liaison between suppliers and our internal logistics team
- Track purchases, pipeline, and supplier activity to plan ahead for material needs
- Represent Ocean Ridge Group professionally — a big part of this job is making suppliers want to work with us

What We're Looking For

- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field — new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone — you'll be doing regular outreach to people who don't know us yet
- Persistence and follow-through: supplier relationships are built over months, not one call
- Organized and detail-oriented — you'll juggle multiple suppliers, pickups, and timelines at once
- Interest in the paper, packaging, or adhesives industry (no prior industry experience required — we'll teach you the product)
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, inside sales, or customer-facing roles is an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

What We Offer

- $42,000 – $52,000 per year, based on experience
