We are looking for an experienced carpenter who can work independently with minimal supervision. Applicants should be confident in framing, finishing, installing doors, flooring, and general renovations. Carpenter helpers and entry-level applicants will not be considered.
Duties
- Assist senior carpenter in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment safely and effectively during construction activities
- Perform demolition, framing, siding installation, and restoration work as directed by supervisors
- Carry out heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics,
and technical drawings with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of woodworking, concrete finishing, welding, and siding installation techniques
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation for construction tasks
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
- Eagerness to learn new skills related to concrete forming, restoration projects, and construction safety procedures
- Prior construction experience is a plus but not required; a solid desire to develop carpentry expertise is essential
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
