We are actively recruiting for a Personal Support Worker for a private female employer that requires support with all activities of daily living.

The employer is a quiet individual, that enjoys reading and spending time with her dog.

Location:

- Vancouver, BC

Shifts and hours:

- Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- 9:00AM to 12:00PM
- Flexibility to work 5:00PM to 7:00PM (To be discussed further with the employer)
- Availability for backup shifts
- Employer can be somewhat flexible with shift start and end times for the right candidate

Compensation:

- $23.00 an hour during training
- $25.00 an hour after training

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

- Daily personal care such as showering, performing skin checks and dressing assistance (Compression socks)
- Bowel routine, suppository and occasional disimpaction
- Support moving the wheelchair beside the bed (Employer transfers herself)
- Light housekeeping such as dusting, clean bathroom, vacuuming and laundry
- Meal preparation
- Assistance with setting up work station

Required Qualifications:

- Willingness to learn




- Experience with suppository/dis-impaction an asset
- Must be comfortable with bowel routines
- Strong command of English/Strong communicator
- Comfortable in an environment with dogs (They will be in a different room during shift)

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
