Lakeshore Manor Chestermere is looking for a responsible Temporary Receptionist to work in our Independent Living.

The Receptionist reports directly to the General Manager

Position Type :

Temporary Part Time

This position is from August 11 to September 19, 2026

Tuesday to Saturday 9am-3pm

Position Summary

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for Lakeshore Manor and plays an essential role in creating a warm, welcoming, and professional environment for residents, families, visitors, prospective residents, and team members. This position provides exceptional customer service while supporting the daily administrative operations of the residence.

The Receptionist demonstrates compassion, professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome everyone in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously.
- Respond to general inquiries in person, by phone, and by email.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Assist residents with general questions and requests.
- Direct maintenance requests and resident concerns to the appropriate department.

Administrative Duties

- Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents.
- File, scan, photocopy, and organize records.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail, courier deliveries, and packages.
- Prepare outgoing mail and courier shipments.





Admissions & Marketing Support

- Greet prospective residents and families.
- Coordinate tours of the residence.
- Prepare welcome packages and admission documents.
- Assist with guest suite reservations.
- Help maintain marketing materials and brochures.
- Maintain effective communication between departments.
- Relay messages accurately and promptly.
- Notify the General Manager of urgent resident or family concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and organizational information.

Qualifications Required

- Minimum 3 years of customer service or administrative experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Qualified telephone etiquette.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in seniors' housing, healthcare, hospitality, or retirement living.
- Clear Criminal Record Check

Physical Requirements

- Sit or stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent computer and telephone use.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
