On behalf of our Client, Protrans Personnel Services is searching for a Driver's Aide/General Labourer (Contract) to work in the Halifax Regional Municipality !

What's In it for you?

- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am-4:00pm
- $20.50/hour
- Weekly Paid on Fridays!

Key Responsibilities:

- The candidate will be routinely working in a transport truck with another employee delivering loads of goods and products to customer in the HRM area
- The candidate would be responsible to work alongside the driver and support him in his duties, such as but not limited to;
- Assisting truck driver preparing trailers and loads for transport.
- Hook and unhook trailers
- Tarping and strapping loads
- Cleaning off trailers, snow & ice
- Accompany driver on his route throughout Halifax/Dartmouth area.

Qualifications:

- Punctual and reliable
- Team player
- Steel-Toe Safety Boots, CSA Approved - required
- Access to reliable transportation ** required

Physical Demands:

- Ability to perform repetitive, manual material handling without restriction requiring (but not limited to) the following physical abilities: kneeling, bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping.

- Must demonstrate the strength and aerobic capacity required for the above-mentioned work up to 8 hours each day

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
