Overview

We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented General Building Maintenance Workers to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our buildings and surrounding areas. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. Duties

- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC components.
- Conduct repairs using welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical skills to address issues promptly.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and utilize computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately.
- Oversee facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, flooring repairs, and general cleaning to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.




- Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex projects or repairs while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to building-related concerns from staff or visitors and communicating effectively with team members.

Qualifications

- Proven supervising experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance environments.
- Solid electrical experience coupled with mechanical knowledge; familiarity with schematics is essential.
- Hands-on welding skills and the ability to operate tools safely are highly desirable.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques across multiple trades.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to read technical documents clearly.
- Leadership qualities with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and team collaboration.
