About the Role

Sid Grabell Contracting (SGC) is a well-established industrial and commercial electrical contractor in the Niagara Region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a licensed 309A Electrician to join our team.

We’re looking for a licensed 309A Electrician who is motivated, safety-conscious, and ready to work on industrial and commercial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and service existing electrical systems, including main switchgear, transformers, generators, motors, and industrial machinery

- Install power distribution systems including breaker panels, transformers, generators, motor control centres (MCCs), conduit, lighting systems, main services, PLCs, and associated equipment

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues efficiently and safely

- Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code and Ontario Electrical Safety Code

- Work collaboratively with supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors to complete projects on schedule and within budget

- Follow all Ministry of Labour and company safety policies, procedures, and documentation requirements

- Ministry of Labour safety standards, procedures, and required documentation

Qualifications

- Valid 309A Electrical Licence

- Minimum 2+ years of post-licence experience

- Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code

- Proven troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail

- Solid understanding of the Ontario Health and Safety Act





- Self-starter with valuable organizational and communication skills

- Clean driver’s abstract and valid driver’s licence

- Own hand tools

Assets (not required but preferred):

- Industrial or commercial electrical experience

- Experience with power distribution, MCCs, PLCs, or utility infrastructure

- Experience working in active facilities or plant environments
