Customer Service Representative

Budget Car & Truck Rental is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Victoria in-town location. The successful candidate will provide friendly, efficient service while assisting customers with their vehicle rental needs.

Position Summary

Devon Transport prides itself on providing efficient and friendly service to all customers. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for processing rental transactions, providing value-based recommendations about our products and services, completing basic administrative tasks, and communicating effectively while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Position Responsibilities

- Answer customer inquiries.
- Provide accurate and effective rate quotes.
- Open and close rental agreements.
- Recommend products and services based on customer needs.
- Communicate with location staff, support departments, and other locations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve service disruptions when required.
- Follow the recommended service-based sales dialogue.
- Clearly explain company policies and procedures to customers.
- Continually learn and apply company best practices.
- Participate in training as required.
- Complete administrative tasks as directed by management.




- Identify fleet requirements for the current and upcoming rental days.
- Assist with other operational duties as required.

- Willingness to learn and accept ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Qualifications and Experience

- Previous customer-service experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Vehicle knowledge is considered an asset.
- Previous sales experience is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

- Work is performed primarily in an in-town rental office.
- The schedule may include weekends and holidays.
- Some vehicle movement and outdoor work may be required.
- Ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback are provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- BC Class 5 Drivers License or Better (preferred)
