Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated School Age Supervisor to lead our after-school program for school-aged children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners, coordinate activities, and ensure a secure, fun, and enriching environment for children in our care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with school-aged children during after-school hours, promoting positive behavior and social development
- Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities that foster learning, creativity, and teamwork
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and supervising children at all times
- Collaborate with staff and parents to support each child's individual needs and developmental goals
- Ensure proper documentation of attendance, incident reports, and activity logs
- Assist with daily setup and cleanup of activity areas,
ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's curiosity, independence, and confidence
Qualifications
- Prior experience in teaching or supervising children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to organize activities that are engaging, educational, and fun
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to childcare environments
- Must be able to pass background checks including criminal record screening and hold relevant certifications if applicable
