Instructor Therapist - Mississauga / Brampton

Nexus Aba Therapy is a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals specialized in providing ABA, SLP and OT based services and support to improve the lives of children and their families.

Nexus Aba Therapy is looking for skilled Instructor Therapists to provide ABA therapyI services to children in the home setting after school. Candidates are responsible for implementing treatment plans for school age children, and adolescents (ages 0-18) under BCBA supervision.

This job requires driving to the client's home or school and access to a vehicle.

Rate:

$90.00 per visit (3hrs) - 9-12 or 1-4 pm

$60.00 per visit (2 hrs) - after school hours 4:30-6:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement the ABA / IBI program related to the needs and goals of the client under BCBA supervision
- Support client goals through implementing strategies and monitoring progress.
- Data Collection and communication with BCBA.
- Maintain a good rapport with the interdisciplinary team, including the family.
- Create and maintain a healthy and positive environment for the client to promote progress.
- Provide consultation and education to the family regarding the client's needs and goals.
- Create optimal opportunities for learning by including the family into the therapy sessions.
- Candidates must adhere to the policies and procedures of the company.

Qualifications:





- Educational and or Clinical background in applied behavioural analysis
- Experience implementing ABA teaching strategies with children ASD and learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills along with strong organizational abilities.
- Enthusiastic with the ability to connect with children and work successfully within the team.
- Independent, self motivated, yet willing to accept guidance and feedback from Supervisors.
- Valid Drivers License and access to vehicle during working hours.
- Available to work during the day, evenings, and optional weekends.

Solid assets that will help your application:

- Behavioral Science Technology Diploma, Autism Behavioral Science Certificate, and/or Registered Behavioral Technician
- RBT or BCaBA certification (completed or in process)

Please note that we are currently hiring part-time service providers for after-school sessions from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m and or weekends from 9-12 or 1-4 pm. Applicants must be available for a minimum of 2 visits per week during these hours. Your hours may increase as new clients become available.
